Roland began his engineering career in the West Michigan area in 1997, with an engineering/architectural firm. Since joining JDH Engineering in 2002, he has been the project engineer for a variety of educational, commercial, municipal, and residential projects. He regularly consults as a specialty structural engineer for steel fabricators for steel connection, steel stair and railing design. Mr. Bokma has also received training from the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers as a structural specialist (StS). He serves on Michigan Task Force 1 and on Region 6’s (Western Michigan) disaster response strike team.
