West Ottawa High School is a new 325,000 square-foot high school facility built at a cost of $40 million. It is a LEED-certified project, and at the time of its completion was one of only three schools in Michigan to be so. The new facility is home to about 1,500 students and houses full academic facilities for the 9th through 12th grade program; multiple computer labs; multiple fully-equipped science laboratories; a media center; television studio; two gymnasiums, a main competition gym as well as an auxiliary gym; an elevated four-lane running track around the main gymnasium; main gymnasium seating for nearly 3,000 people; full band, orchestra and choir program rooms; and is master planned for a future performing arts center addition.
