The Kent County Courthouse in downtown Grand Rapids combines several county departments previously housed in smaller, separate facilities, including all county-court functions. The building includes two centrally-attached parallelogram towers at 12-stories and 13-stories, a basement parking level, and ten elevators. The steel-framed structure contains 3,300 tons of structural steel, has a lateral system of steel braced frames, and is founded on deep foundations.
