This six story hotel structure consists of precast plank floors and masonry walls, and a concrete basement with a pool area. Structural challenges associated with this building included wall loads approaching 30,000 pounds per foot, and the need to clear span 5 stories of bearing wall over the lower level pool area.An innovative solution of story-deep precast concrete wall-beams was utilized for this latter challenge.
