Women’s Health Center, a four-story medical office building anchoring the east end of the Medical Mile in Grand Rapids, houses a multitude of women’s services including surgical centers, clinics, a pharmacy and laboratory services. The project also includes an adjoining, free-standing five-story parking structure built into the hillside, placing the upper level of parking at the same elevation as the first floor of the office building, accomplished with a five-story concrete wall and soldier-pile-and-lagging soil-retention system. The framing system for the office building is structural steel, while the parking structure is precast concrete.
