Metro Health Physician’s/Professional Building is a new 100,000 square-foot medical office building on its Wyoming campus, that provides a new drop-off, common entry, and connection to the main hospital. The $15-million structure is two stories above grade with a lower level. In addition to professional offices and conference rooms, it houses a heart and vascular center featuring cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation, as well as exam rooms, procedure rooms, research space, and a physician’s lounge.
The steel-framed structure consists of open-web floor joists, a system that took careful study for vibration, and concrete composite floor decks; utilizes rigid-frames; has a rooftop mechanical screenwall; and features an architecturally-exposed, 20-foot story-deep steel truss that supports a 32-foot floor cantilever.
